Dear Host Family, Thank you for being a host family with Ayusa and accepting me to live with your family. I am a German girl and have finished the 9th grade. I like to try new things and I want to travel around the world. I want to learn something about the American culture and to improve my english. I like to try new food or drinks. I am a friendly, open-minded person, but I can also be sensitive and I am also always hungry. I like to dress up stylish and put on make-up, but I also feel comfortable in sweatpants and without make-up. I like to do sports like handball or tennis. Since a couple of years I play handball in a team, where we always have a lot of fun the with girls. Last winter I did skiing first time. For the next winter we decided to do it two times again. Sometimes I play tennis with my parents or my best friend. I hope I can join a tennis-club when I am in US. If it does not work out, I am happy to try out other school clubs. I speak German as my first language and of course english what I want to improve when I am in America. I like to help other people, especially older people and younger children. I played the piano for three years, when i was a child. I like to sing under the shower and listen to music all days with my airpods. My stepfather is a CEO of a manufacturer of mixing and homogenizing systems and he is interested in tennis and skiing. My mother works at the same company in the buying department. She loves being in the garden and is a sporty person. The last time I was on vacation without my parents was on summer break with my best friend and her parents for two weeks. It was worth an experience to go on vacation without my parents and I am looking forward to what it will be like for half a year in America without my family and friends in US. I am already looking forward to Halloween, what is only celebrated on a very small scale. You are celebrating Christmas one day after us and that's why I am already very excited about it, too. I am looking forward to experiencing homecoming for the first time, because there is no such thing in Germany. I want to tell you more about German culture and life here when we get to know each other. When I heard how great it is to live with a host family and go to high school in America, I immediately knew I wanted to do the same thing. I want to collect unforgettable memories and collect lots of pictures and new experiences with new friends and you as a family. I am excited to become a part of your family! Warm Regards, Greta
