My dear host family, First of all, i would like to thank you for opening your home and your heart to welcome me. The idea of spending a whole year with you makes me both excited and grateful. I’m really looking forward to discovering who you are, learning about your habits, and sharing my daily life with you. My name is Lou-Ann, i’m in high school and i live in the south of France. I am a curious and sociable girl who loves to laugh and stay positive. I’m attentive and i adapt easily to new situations and to the people around me. If i had to summarize my passions in three words, i would say: music, sports, and cinema. In my life, sport is essential ; no matter which one, i just love being active. Music and movies are also very important to me, and i love reading to escape and travel through stories. God also has a central place in my life. In my free time, i enjoy seeing my friends, cooking, and of course listening to music (for everything!). I love singing even if I’m not a very good singer! My friends are also very important to me ; they are a central part of my life. I love spending time with them doing activities like sports, painting, escape games, or simply talking together. I’m learning to play the piano because i have one at home, and i’m actually trying to learn the national anthem of the United States. I’m not an expert, but i really enjoy it! I have two homes: one with my mother, and one with my father and my stepmother. I also have a little brother and a little sister, and two dogs named Kalou and Yuki. My family loves celebrating birthdays and special occasions ; those are important moments for us to come together. At school, i’ve been a class representative for four years, and i'm also an ambassador against bullying. For me, it’s important to get involved and discover as many things as possible. Since i was little, i have always been fascinated by the United States. I dream of discovering everything: the culture, the traditions, the school life, and the family life. At my future American school, i would love to try new things and join clubs or activities. I would also love to share my French culture with you ; our food, our habits, and a bit of my world.
