Hi I’m Valeria, Firstly I’d like to thank you for hosting me for ten months, you are making my dream come true. Since I was a kid I’ve been thinking about this exchange year and I can’t wait to get to know you and create a bond that will last forever. I believe that I'm determined, open-minded and helpful. My friends would describe me as someone who loves helping people, they would also describe me as a cheerful person. I love spending time with them, they can always make me happy. I also love practicing cheerleading, I can't remember a life without it! It's become a crucial part of my identity and I love it wholeheartedly. My team is the best one in Italy. Here we have just 2 competition for year. I've been a part of this team for 10 years and in 17 competitions we won the 1st place and in 3 competitions we won the 2nd place. What about you? Do you have a sport that you love with your whole heart? I also love music. I have been playing the flute since I was a kid. At 11 I went to a music school that I attended for 3 years. It was great to play with my friends and sometimes I still go there to play some songs with them. Music is always with me, everything that I do, I do it listening to music, I especially love writing and reading while I listen to music. Which type of music do you listen to? In my family we are 4: my mother Elena, my sister Alessia, my father Carlo and I. My parents are divorced but I still have a good relationship with both of them. I live with my mom most of the time. My mother is a vet. She’s my lighthouse, I built a beautiful mother- daughter relationship and I love to spend time with her. My sister Alessia is 21, I love spending time with her, especially when she asks me to teach her some new languages: she wants me to teach her Spanish or German because I study them at school and I’m quite good at it. My father is a surveyor. With him I usually watch TV and cook. I’ve always loved cooking with my family. What about you? Do you like cooking? I also have 3 cats, I love them, they are so cute, if you saw them, you would agree with me! Here I’m usually very busy because of school and sports. During school time I’m used to wake up early in the morning and then I drive at one of my best friend’s house to go to school with her, I love spending time with her. At school I adore talking with my friends and taking classes. When I get home, I just study all afternoon. I’m good at it, so I like studying! The evening is my favorite part. I go to training and I stay there 3 hours. When I have more time, I go out with my friends just for an ice cream, which is very typical for us, but the thing that I love the most to do with them is listening to music in local café. What do you like to do? I hope we’ll create a strong bond and consider me as a part of your family. I would love to spend a lot of time with you, getting to know what you like and sharing a lot of time with you. I hope I will grow as a person and improve my English. I hope you will love sharing this experience just as much as I will.
