Dear Host Family,
Thank you so much for being willing to participate in the exchange program and accepting me to live with your family.
I am a French girl and have just finished my junior high school, I will turn sixteen in February. I like to try new things and I want to explore the world, including America. I want to learn about the American culture and share in your life and discover an American high school.
I love manga, my favorite is Attack on titans. I am a very outgoing, creative, fun-loving person, I love animals such as dogs and cats my dream is to have a dog but right now, I live with a cat. I enjoy playing sports, such as rhythmic gymnastics, badminton. I speak French and little bit of Spanish I learn at school and I look forward to becoming fluent in English.
I have a lot of friends they say I am funny, kind, loyal, cheerful and curious. I am not a shy girl, I like to make new friends and discover their personalities. I have a lot of energy but I also like to rest sometimes in my room and watch series or anime’s.
I have practiced rhythmic gymnastic for 10 years, I won a lot of medals and two at a French championship. I also play piano sometimes but it’s only a hobby because I learn by myself and I’m not very good at yet. I would like to join a cheerleader’s team in an American high school because I’m passionate about it and I’ve always wanted to participate. I hope I will!
Right now, I don’t have any contact with my dad, he left my family when I was 3 years old. My mom is a full-time mother , she is 41 and she is a secretary. She loves to make us travel. My younger brother is two years younger than me and he is in 8th grade. We are a close family and I hope to become a part of your family as well.
I would love to teach you some French words. If you have children, I can help them to learn French and maybe child songs and the alphabet! I would love spend family times with them because I really like kids, I’ve always wanted to have another sister or brother.
I am not a good cooker but I love to do cookies! I also can help you choose good bread and good cheese and would love to bring you some French food and gifts. And I would love you can teach me how to cook american food.
At home, I have to clean my room, unload the dishwasher, clear the table, help my mom with the groceries and feed my cat.
Later I would like to be a cabin crew. I love to travel, help people and speak English.
I believe that it will be the best experience in my life, I want to take amazing photos and have unforgettable memories with you and my new friends in America.
I can’t wait to make my wish come true, I thank my mom to give me this opportunity and thank you to be a host family! I can’t wait to meet you and be part of your family for 6 months.
Warm Regards,
Sïa
