Anna-Lou
's Letter
Dear Family,
My name is Anna-Lou, I come from South of France.
My favorite color is blue, or rather a variation of blue like that of the sky, sea and lakes found in the landscapes of my region.
I'm a social person, open-minded and like to reach out to others.
I have many hobbies and my favorites are rugby, horse riding, skiing and surfing.
My Family is important to me. We do a lot of activities together, like traveling (I've been on two family trips to the USA: one to New York and the other to Florida), playing board and card games, and watching rugby matches together. I love rugby, and what I love even more is playing it with my friends.
I'm curious and like to learn new things, especially about history and science, but also about everyday life.
I want to become a kinesitherapist, which means getting the equivalent of a College degree. Doing this exchange in English at this stage of my studies would be a major asset in my file, as well as giving me the maturity of living far from home.
What motivates me for this exchange with a family in the U.S. is to immerse myself in English to learn and master the language, as well as to share a life experience with an American family: discovering your way of life, your traditions and your culture.
What I expect from my host family is that they allow me to discover their daily life and accompany me in this experience where it's the first time I'll be away from home and my family.
Coming to the United States will provide me with an unforgettable experience and will help me grow in my personal life as I learn the language and way of life of my host family.
The fluency I'll gain in English during my stay will boost my confidence when I travel, and make it easier to communicate with the people I meet.
It is also, I hope, an opportunity to create close ties with my host family and to integrate them into my future life.
Thank you for taking a look at my letter. I look forward to meeting you soon.
