Dear Host Family, Thank you so much for opening your home to me and giving me the chance to be part of your family. I am truly grateful for this opportunity, and I'm incredibly excited to start this new adventure with you. My name is Gabriele, I come from a small town in Northern Italy. I decided to join this exchange program because I believe it's a once in a lifetime chance to grow, learn, and challenge myself. I've always been curious about the world, and I can't wait to discover a new culture not just as a visitor, but as a member of your community. If I had to describe myself, I'd say I'm an open minded person. My friends often say I'm a good listener and that they feel comfortable around me. I value honesty and kindness, and I always try to be supportive to the people close to me. I'm also quite curious, i love asking questions and learning how people live and think in different parts of the world. One of my biggest passions is listening music. It makes me feel peaceful and focused, for example, when I play basketball with headphones I feel truly myself. I also enjoy spending time with friends, I usually invite them at my home, we love watching horror movies with popcorns, and pizza. Sometimes we just hang out in the city centre. I enjoy my own company, but I love being with people who make me laugh. I’m looking forward to being part of your family life, to share stories, meals, and small everyday moments. I'd love to help out around the house and be involved in your routine - I know this experience is not a vacation, but a real life together. At home in Italy, I live with my parents. We are very close, and they've always encouraged me to follow my dreams. My parents are both hard workers and sociable people, and they've taught me to respect others and to work hard. Our favorite time together is usually at dinner, when we all talk about our day. On a regular weekday, I wake up around 6:30 am., go to school, study in the afternoon, and then either unwind or go out with friends. On weekends, I enjoy spending time with my family or seeing friends. I can't wait to get to know you!
