Dear Family,
I am B. and I am 16 years old, I am a very cheerful and sunny girl, always smiling. I live with my parents in a small town not far from the school. I attend a high school
with a linguistic focus and I like it very much, I get along with all my classmates and all my teachers. I really like taking lessons, especially math lessons even though
my favorite subjects are Spanish and English. In my school I have the possibility to choose supplementary courses to take after school hours and the one I chose
allows me to work in theaters; it is in fact one of my favorite hobbies and even though I don't have much free time I try to use it as much as possible. My days are
quite full: in the morning I get up at 7 a.m. to go to school, I get ready, have breakfast and my father takes me to school since his office is nearby and once, I arrive I
start to follow the lessons with interest. At 2.00 p.m. I leave school and go to my grandmother's for lunch except on Thursdays, when I leave at 4:30 p.m. because I
take a Spanish course for my language certification. Once I finish eating, I rest for a moment and then start studying until the evening. When I finish studying, I play
sports or dedicate myself to other hobbies such as: building Lego (bricks), the more complicated ones, dancing and listening to music, reading books especially
romantic one, playing with my dog and taking him for walks in the park behind the house. My favorite sport is horse riding which I practice twice a week. Riding
makes me feel free. My father taught me to ski when I was little and I will never stop thanking him because it is a sport that I appreciate very much: it allows us to
spend whole days on the snow and in nature with him and we have a lot of fun. I like spending part of my free time in the company of my parents, watching movies
or playing board games. I have a very special relationship with them: I can confide in them and talk about any topic, they understand me and are always ready to
support me in my decisions. They taught me very important values such as respect, education, kindness and the importance of family. They passed on to me a
passion for travel and as soon as we can we visit new cities in Italy and abroad. I have always desired to have siblings but I am an only child and, unfortunately, I
don't even have cousins and that's why my parents wanted to give me the company of a dog.
After school, during the summer, I attend a summer camp for children/teenagers aged between six and fourteen. I started attending when I was little and, a couple
of years ago, I became a volunteer entertainer. The joy that makes me play, dance and serve lunch to the little ones is indescribable. When I return home late in the
afternoon I am tired, but satisfied with my day.
I love spending time with my friends and, thanks to sports, summer camp and school, I have many of them but I can count the real ones on one hand. I consider
myself a sociable person and, even though, at first, I can appear shy, I love making new friends to share fun moments with and confide in. I try to be kind to
everyone, I love helping other people by listening to them and giving advice that can improve their days, but at the same time sometimes I enjoy my space by
being alone. Thanks to the short summer experiences I had abroad, I adapt more easily to new situations and I am always driven by the curiosity to know and
admire new places near and far. My mother stayed in the USA at the age of 23 and thanks to the excellent memories she still has today and that she tells me with
enthusiasm, I can't wait to get to know the America that has been so praised to me, its school system, its traditions, its culture and above all the family that will
welcome me for this new unforgettable life experience, hoping that it can become a second family for me and I a daughter for them. I am so excited and thrilled
because my American dream is finally coming true: WOOOWW !!!
Thank you!
