Dear future host family,
I am a girl from Holland and I would love to do an exchange year to America because I want to explore the world, learn about new cultures, and I always wanted to experience the high school feeling like in the movies. But also just to get to know new people and to improve my English and I think it's just a great experience.
When people first meet me they think I am a really hold back and shy girl but when they get to know me better and I feel comfortable around them I can be really energetic and talkative.
At home I live with both my parents and my little brother. My dad is 54 years old and is a train driver, when I do something with him he always makes it fun, rather we are walking over the beach or we go to the movies. My mom is 46 and is a make-up artist (for weddings). My mom and I always do small together things so we watch a movie at home or we go out for lunch. My brother is 12 and he is gaming the most of the time. Me and my parents are very close and so I hope I can get close with my host family. I would also like a big family because I am used to having only one other sibling at home but my friends have big families and I love that.
I really like animals (especially horses and dogs) so I would like to be involved with animals somehow, at home I dance (ballet and I did a modern version of ballet) but in America I would love to be a cheerleader, I did gymnastics once so cheerleading would be a good mix. I also love music whether I listen to it or make it myself I would like to have that involved in my life.
Best regards,
Britt
