's Letter

Dear Host Family, Thank you so much for opening your home and welcoming me to be part of your family during this exchange program. I am a Chilean boy currently finishing 8th grade, the final year of primary school in my country. I enjoy trying new things and I am very excited to learn about a new culture, sports, foods, and traditions while living in the U.S. I believe this experience will help me grow as a person and expand my view of the world. In Chile, I have a very good relationship with my classmates and teachers. I do well in school, and my favorite subject is mathematics, in which I feel confident and perform best. My goal is to always keep good grades so that I can enter the university of my choice in the future. After finishing school, I would like to study a career that allows me to combine my interest in problem-solving with making a positive impact on people’s lives. I have a close relationship with my family. We spend time together on weekends, sharing meals and doing activities. I also enjoy spending time with my friends, playing sports, and discovering new hobbies. I am curious, respectful, and open to learning from others. One of my main reasons for joining this exchange program is to improve my English and learn to communicate fluently. I also want to make new friends, adapt to a different way of life, and gain experiences that will help me in the future. I would love to share my own culture with you, including some Chilean traditions and dishes, and I would also like to learn how to cook better so I can prepare meals for my family and friends. Thank you for taking the time to read my letter. I am looking forward to meeting you soon and becoming part of your family. Kind regards, Raimundo
