's Letter

Dear Host Family, Thank you very much for welcoming me into your home. I’m really excited and grateful for this chance to live with you and become part of your family. My name is Federico, I’m 16 years old, and I come from a city in northern Italy. I would say I’m extrovert, curious, and funny. One of my main passions is working on tech and AI projects. I decided to join this exchange program because I think it’s a unique and unforgettable experience. I want to make the most of it by making new friends and having a great time with you, my host family. I expect this experience to be enriching, full of new opportunities and friendships, and I can’t wait to discover your culture and traditions. I really hope to create a strong connection with you. I believe this experience could be challenging at times. For example I might feel a little nostalgic or it could take me some time to adapt to a new school and to new routines, but I’m confident that with your help I will be able to overcome those challenges. I also really enjoy meeting new people and discovering new things and I believe this can help me to make new friendships and try new activities with you or at school. In my free time, I usually hang out with my friends, especially in the city center, where I love eating Italian gelato. My hobbies include robotics, going to the movies, listening to music, and sometimes playing video games. Three times a week I play soccer with my team. In the future, I dream of studying aerospace engineering at university, then continuing with artificial intelligence, hoping to work abroad in space research. I’m an only child, and I have a really close relationship with my parents. We also have a cat named Mimi, who is very cute and part of our family. A normal school day for me starts at 7 a.m. because I live close to school, which starts at 8. After getting up, I usually buy breakfast for my parents at a nearby bakery. At school, I attend lessons and during breaks, I meet my friends in the main hall to chat and eat something. After school, at 1 p.m., I have lunch with my family and then study for the next day. In the evenings, I either go out with friends, play video games, or watch movies with my family. I hope we will create a strong bond and make many new memories together. I can’t wait to part in your daily life and learn about your traditions. Thank you again for this opportunity. I’m really excited to meet you and start this beautiful experience. With affection Federico
