's Letter
Dear Host Family,
My name is Makar, and I am so excited to introduce myself to you! I live and study in Russia, in a city in the south of the country where it’s sunny and warm almost all year round. I come from a big and loving family, and I’m the youngest child. My father is an engineer and my mother is a manager. I also have an older brother and sister who are already grown up and living on their own. Even though they are busy with their own lives, on weekends and holidays we all come together, and I really treasure those moments with my family.
On weekdays, I go to school from Monday through Saturday. My classes finish around 2 p.m., and after that I usually spend time doing homework, watching movies, listening to music, or helping around the house. From 5 to 7 p.m., I go to my sports club. In the evenings, my family has dinner together, and we always share stories and news about our day. My father loves reading, and sometimes he brings us together to read us interesting parts from his favorite books.
During weekends and school breaks, I love spending time with my friends from school and my sports club. We often play basketball together, go to the cinema, or visit fun places in the city. When the weather is warm, our coach sometimes organizes hiking trips to beautiful places in nature. These are some of my favorite memories.
Dear host family, I am truly happy that you are considering welcoming me into your home. I really hope that living together will be a wonderful experience for both of us. I would love to learn about your culture, traditions, and daily life, and I will be glad to share mine with you as well. I believe that the time we spend together will be full of fun, kindness, and unforgettable moments.
Thank you so much for giving me this amazing opportunity to be part of your family and to study in your country through the exchange program. I can’t wait to meet you!
With warm regards,
Makar
