Dear Host Family, Im very happy if you read this right now, because that means yall could probably be my Host Family for my exchange year! (: My name is Jolanda, im german and in 10th grade right now. Im a very extroverted person, and love meeting new people. I talk to people alot, whether its in school or just in my freetime. Also i really like playing volleyball, i think i have to improve myself, but i have time to do that. But i love the team sport and that you and your teammates have to rely on eachother. Another hobby i got myself into is swimming. Its training the whole body and im really feeling better after swimming. A last thing yall should know about me is, i love to dress up whether its for halloween or a family dinner, i just love to feel comfortable in my body and feel pretty. In my exchange year i really want to get to know the american culture and see if its really like in the hollywood movies. Also i just want to experience something great in my life, and a exchange year in a different country is the best i can imagine for this goal. Aside from that im so exited to meet new friends and have fun spending time with them. And of course going to school in America. I dont really enjoy going to school in germany, but American high schools have so many clubs and free time activities. In Germany, my father owns a big house on the countryside and my mom is the opposite and has a flat in the center of the city. I have a big friend group, that i love spending my time with. We sometimes just hangout anywhere, but most of the time we go swimming in lakes or meet to play volleyball, its always something different. The german school is hard but im really trying my best, sometimes i also help my friends or classmates when they are not understanding something. In the end of school i want to do a high school diploma and go to medical school. After that i want to work in the medical field, but i dont know what exactly i want to work. I think i need a little bit more time to choose what i really want to do in my future life. Im so exited for my exchange year!! Warm Regards Jolanda
