Dear Host Family, First thing first, I want to thank you for opening your home and your life to me. I truly appreciate this opportunity, and I am excited to be part of your family. I decided to take part in this exchange program because I have always been curious about different cultures and ways of life. I believe that living with you will help me grow as a person, improve my language skills and create meaningful connections. I want to experience life as a true member of your family, sharing daily moments, traditions and values. Let me tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Gabriele, and my family and friends describe me as a kind, curious and funny person. I live in a little but pretty village in the north-east of Italy with my parents, Cristian and Cristina, my younger brother Federico and my two dachshunds Zico and Zoe. At home, we enjoy spending time together, talking about our day and sharing meals. Family is very important to me and I hope to create a strong bond with you as well. In my free time, I love playing sports like soccer and basketball but also listening to music and playing video games with my friends and my younger brother. One of my favorite experiences so far has been volunteering for a local summer camp where I used to go as a child. It taught me to always help the others, because there was always someone who helped me first. I am really looking forward to learning more about you, your daily routines and traditions. I would love to be part of your special moments and contribute to family life in any way I can. Even though I come from a completely different culture, I truly believe that we will find many things in common, and I will do my best to integrate into your family and community.
