Dear Host Family,
Thank you so much for being willing to participate in the exchange program and accepting me to live with your family.
I am a Ukranian girl and have just finished my 10th grade of school. My biggest dream is to travel and see new places. I want to visit famous spots, explore landmarks and experience life in the U.S. I can't help but mention American culture, feel the daily vibe and get to know different traditions.
I am a very creative, artistic and fun-loving person, who enjoys having unforgettable adventures and trying new things. I speak two different languages fluently, Ukranian and Russian. Everything related to foreign languages has been my first love since my childhood, I am currently learning Polish, German and Chinese, and am looking forward to becoming fluent in English.
I am very passionate about creating content and design, sharing it on social media. I use my skills not only in my main channel, but also in my others, such as makeup and nail artistry. I do nails and makeup for models or clients, often combining these skills with photography and editing to produce eye-catching content. For my personal channel, I come up with with unique photoshoot ideas, organize shoots at home or in the city, and then edit the images to match the desired atmosphere. It is important for me to continue my path in this sphere, I want my career to be all about creativity and sharing my work with the world.
Throughout my life I have tried to play 5 musical instruments, but only the guitar I liked the most and now I still practice on it. So I would like to join a music club and play this instrument with others. If not a music club, then something connected with foreign languages or filmmaking/photography, it would allow me to develop my skills while connecting with like-minded people. I understand that I may not be able to join these clubs at my school so I am interested in trying other things and joining school clubs or sports. When it comes to sports, I am especially interested in gymnastics, dance or cheerleading. I was a master of sport in aerial gymnastics, so I am used to doing something active that challenges me physically.
Another goal is to continue my volunteer work. In Ukraine, I participated in volunteering activities, such as sewing and stuffing pillows for soldiers and weaving camouflage nets. Helping others is something I deeply value and I want to continue this work in any way while in the USA.
As you can see, I have many hobbies and interests, I have attented many courses and events to improve my hard and soft skills, as a result I can use this experience anywhere. I am more than happy to share it with my host family, as well as Ukranian culture.
My mom is a full-time mother and she loves traveling. My younger sister is five years younger than me and she is in 5th grade. Despite the challenges, we are a friendly and strong family, always supporting each other. I hope to become a part of your family as well. When I saw the wonderful pictures of my Ayusa sisters and brothers, it made me more determined to go to America and learn about your culture. I believe that I can also take amazing photos and have unforgettable memories with you and my new friends in America. I am excited to become a part of your family!
Warm Regards,
Mary
