's Letter

Dear host family, My name is Tanguy. I live in the south of France near to the sea. I live with my parents but I also have a sister and a brother, they left the family house and I am now alone with my parents... so great ! ;) My dad is a chartered accountant and my mom is a french teacher in the same high school where I study... not easy everyday haha (some of my friends have her as a teacher). At home I help my parents, in short I am respectful, polite, and always ready to help. Sometimes we go to the movie theater in family and it's very cool. Occasionally we hike because we have beautiful landscapes here. I really enjoy doing an intense effort and then admiring a breathtaking landscape. Then at school it's pretty chill, I have my friends who are great so day's school are quick. I have good teachers, but sometimes they are angry with our class and I don't understand why we are just thirty boys and four girls in the class. :) I have scientist specialities it's normal, in France you have to choose 3 specialities and the mine are: mathematics, physics-chemistry and engineering sciences. When I come back at home I do my homework which can be very long and then I chill watching a film or video. I like historical film or series. I've also been involved in a scout group for five years now and it's really cool, we do some very difficult hikes but it's always a pleasure because we see beautiful landscape and it's always a different place so we are never disappointed. Afterward, I am a very curious, open-minded and helpful person who loves to meet new people and experience new things. Usually when we have a good relationship, I adapt and get attached pretty quickly. In my daily life, I enjoy doing the activities that are offered to me and I like doing them. Recently, I started to play golf occasionally with my brother who play golf with his business school. For now I’m very bad but I know that sport can be very fun. When I was young I played tennis during 4 years so I think that it can be cool to play it again and maybe play it with you. Furthermore, I would like to do work out because I am tall but pretty thin so that's complicated and I want to change it. It's absolutely not a shopping list so this is not unavoidable and I can change my plan, I really like to do new things. I can also say that I am interested by space, I did an internship in an engineering school specializing in aerospace and aeronautics, that was really cool and instructive. Just an another thing, I really love cats, I consider that they are very cute and de-stressing. Unfortunately, I don't have one in the house perhaps that's why I think they have only good sides ! Once again I want to say, it doesn't matter if you don't have a cat... a dog will be great too haha ! Just another things I really love amusement parks with thrills and arts museums. Then, studying in the U.S. has always been a dream of mine. I want to immerse myself in a new culture, improve my English, and grow as a person. Living with a host family will be an amazing opportunity to experience an american life from the inside. I believe that being part of a host family is about sharing and adapting. I am eager to learn from you and share my own culture as well, I will teach you a lot of things on my country, Don't worry ! And finally, I am so excited about the opportunity to spend a year in the United States, discovering a new culture, improving my English, and sharing this experience with you. I want to thank you for opening your home to me. I know that hosting a student is a big commitment, and I truly appreciate this opportunity. I look forward to getting to know you, sharing great moments, and creating unforgettable memories together. Looking forward to meeting you soon! Best regards, Tanguy
