's Letter
Hello dear future host family,
How are you? My name is Nora and I’m from a small town in Germany. I’m very glad that you will be hosting me for the next ten months and giving me a home.
I live with my parents in our house and I have a pretty good bond with them. We love spending time together, whether we’re traveling or playing board games. I also have a sister she is five years older than me and moved about 500 kilometers away. Even though there’s some distance between us, we still have a very good relationship and I can talk to her about everything.
In my free time, as I said before, I love to travel and explore new places, and I’m so grateful that I’ve been able to see so many. But when I’m not traveling, I love spending time with my friends and family. With my friends, I love just sitting together, talking, and of course, laughing a lot. We also love visiting other nearby cities so we can see something different from our little town and try out new activities. For example, we went to an amusement park, or we tried new things and discovered fun activities together.
Now to the things I do throughout the week:
On Mondays, I have guitar lessons with my friend we’ve been doing this together since we were seven years old. I also really enjoy baking and cooking, and maybe I can show you some German recipes. I love going to the gym and having a good workout, which I would also like to continue during my time with you.
One of the main reasons I want to do this exchange is because I love getting to know new people and experiencing a different culture. I’m really looking forward to learning new things about your country and culture for example, visiting a football game in my highschool or trying new sports like tennis or lacrosse. I’m also really excited about the new school subjects, because I think they’re quite different from ours, and I’m curious to get to know them.
Thank you for reading my letter.
I’m looking forward to meeting you soon and getting to know you!
Good bye!
Nora
