's Letter

Dear Host Family, Hello everyone! My name is Mía, and I’m really excited to write to you! I come from a warm and loving family, and I am the youngest child. I have an older brother named Rodrigo who is 23, and a sister named María who is 21. Both of them have studied in different places, and now it’s my turn to have a new adventure. At first, I can be a little shy, but once I get to know people, I think I’m fun and friendly. I love making new friends! I’m really passionate about sports, especially soccer, water skiing, and paddle tennis. I learn quickly and I’m quite competitive, which makes sports even more exciting for me! Next year, I’m planning to study abroad to improve my English. I believe it’s going to be an amazing experience to meet new people and enjoy school life in the United States. I’m really looking forward to this opportunity! My family is very close. We have lunch with my grandparents every Saturday, and we love spending time together, whether we are traveling, going to the movies, or just enjoying a nice day at the beach. We also have fun gatherings where we have barbecues, sing karaoke, and share lots of laughter. I know I will miss my parents, grandparents, siblings, and friends a lot, but I am determined to make the most of my year away from home. I want to have a great experience and make my family proud. I hope you would like to get to know me, and together we can have a year full of learning and fun. And of course, I would love for you to come and meet my family when you can! Thank you for taking the time to read my letter. I can’t wait to meet you soon! Warm regards, Mía
