Dear future Host Family, Thank you so much for opening your home and hearts to me. I truly appreciate that you’ve chosen me to be part of your family. I’m really excited about this journey and can’t wait to get to know you and your culture. My name is Isabelle, and I would describe myself as a funny, outgoing, creative, adventurous and cheerful person. I love trying new things like new recipes, exploring new places and meeting new people. Some of my favorite hobbies are baking, cooking, doing fitness and spending time with my family. I would love to share my favorite recipes with you and write down your favorites into my recipe book. I have wonderful parents, a cool younger brother, and two sweet cats. My dad is a tool mechanic who loves travelling with us. He’s also a big soccer fan and never misses a game. My mum is an industrial clerk. She also likes to travel to new places and has a passion for cooking, baking, and watching her favorite TV shows. My little brother is about five years younger than me. He loves playing soccer, hanging out with his friends, and playing video games with me. We love spending time together whether we’re in the garden, having a barbecue, or just relaxing on the couch watching TV. We also enjoy going on vacation, especially to the beach. I really love swimming!!! We’ve been to Turkey a few times and have also visited Italy, the Netherlands, and I went to England with my class. Of course, we’ve also seen many cities in Germany. I am really interested in visiting new countries and exploring the world. I’d love to travel with you if possible and create unforgettable memories together. Animals, especially cats, are very important to me. Even though my cats are just one year old, they’re already a big part of our family and feel like my little brothers. I really love them. I get along very well with children and enjoy spending time with them. I’m also really interested in fashion and beauty. I enjoy going to the beach and being outside in nature. Tanning by the pool is also one of my favorite things to do during summer. Being around warm weather makes me smile every second of the day. During the week, I spend most of my time at school, with my family, at work or playing video games with my little brother. When I have free time, I like to hang out with my friends or cuddle with my cats at home. If the weather outside isn’t good I like to watch movies while eating popcorn. In the future, I want to become a real estate agent or work as an industrial clerk. My mother has been working as an industrial clerk for 20 years now, and that’s how I became interested in this profession. Since I was a little girl, I’ve been fascinated by American culture. I’ve always dreamed of going to an American high school and living with a host family. I’m so thankful for getting the chance to experience all of this. I’m truly excited about experiencing the football games, the school spirit, discovering new subjects, and going to school dances. I’ve always dreamed of those things! I’m really looking forward to joining a sports team. I absolutely love seeing posts about Halloween, Thanksgiving and other holidays in the U.S. Talking about these holidays. I would really enjoy visiting a pumpkin farm before Halloween and of course going trick or treating. Decorating our house during Christmas time is such a fun activity so I would love doing it with you as well! Can’t forget to mention baking cookies and drinking hot chocolate while watching Christmas movies! One thing I know for sure is that I’ll be sharing lots of traditional German dishes with you and a few other surprises along the way! My parents are actually from Russia, so I grew up with Russian dishes and some other things. But I'm positive to share some of my favorite Russian dishes with you as well!! I believe I would be a great exchange student because I am open to new experiences and excited to learn as much as I can. I really look forward to spending time with your family, doing activities together, and making wonderful memories. I want to give back as much as I receive.
