Nomin
's Letter
Dear host family,
First of all, I would like to thank you for taking the time to read my letter. With this letter, I would like to bring you closer to my life. I will try as best as possible to describe my life here, my wishes and dreams, my friends and family, and of course myself.
My name is Nomin, and I’m from Mongolia. I’m living in a big city called Ulaanbaatar with my parents, 4 younger siblings and grandfather. I have got 2 younger brothers and 2 younger sisters and I’m the oldest one. I have a very loving relationship with all of them. We always have dinner together, and we love to have fun and play games together. I always help my siblings to do their homework.
To give you a first impression of me I want to start by telling you something about me and my personality:
I would describe myself as a reliable, friendly, positive, and open-minded girl who is interested in getting to know new countries and people. In my free time, I love doing different kinds of sports, playing volleyball, and basketball, riding a bicycle, and sometimes hiking. Furthermore, I have been a part of a draught team since 1 grade and I like visiting new places to meet new people, so I would love to visit beautiful places in the USA with your family, too. Since I am part of a draught team, we train together twice a week. I also enjoy cooking, meeting my friends, watching new movies at the cinema, and reading a good book. I also take English classes 4 days a week to improve my English and fulfill my dream of studying in America. The reasons why I want to study in America and participate in a student exchange program are a lot. First of all, it offers a range of benefits such as experiencing different cultures, improving language skills, making new friends, and enhancing personal growth and independence. It can also provide valuable academic opportunities and I can experience international cuisine, celebrate traditional customs, and learn the history of another country.
In conclusion, I would like to thank you very much for taking the time to get to know me better. I am looking forward to being in America and also being a family member of your family and spending a great and unforgettable year.
