's Letter

Dear Host Family, Thank you for taking the time to read my letter. My name is Phat. I have a family of 5 members: my parents, my elder sister, and my younger sister. I love my family very much. My mother is not only my mother but also my best friend who plays with me, shares with me, and teaches me a lot of things in life. She has always been there for me through many difficult times. She helps me overcome challenges, wholeheartedly supports my studies, and I am incredibly grateful to her. My father is my idol in life. He always gives his best to make our family happy. He is the one who brings our family together and guides me in various aspects of life. He always tells me, "Try hard, son, you can do it," and in those moments, I feel a great source of motivation to keep moving forward. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I faced difficulties keeping up with the school curriculum, which made me feel frustrated and insecure. I felt lost and unsure of how to navigate the situation. Fortunately, my parents have been supportive. They have dedicated time to help me with my studies and ensure that I stay on track with the school curriculum. Thanks to their assistance, I am gradually regaining my confidence and finding direction for my next steps. In my daily life, I love playing sports, especially basketball. I usually play with my close friends on weekends. When I play this sport, I feel like I can free my mind and experience happiness and comfort. I have achieved many awards in basketball competitions and I strive to attain even more valuable awards in the future. Personally, I am not an outgoing person. I feel shy when meeting new people, and I lack confidence in starting conversations with them. However, over time, my mother and my best friend have encouraged me a lot. Now I feel more open-minded and even enjoy making new friends. During a previous spring, I had the opportunity to visit the United States, and during that trip, I challenged myself to be more open. As a result, I have made many friends who share similar interests and goals. I am incredibly excited about the opportunity to participate in the exchange program. My previous trip to the USA brought me many joyful memories, and I was deeply impressed by the country. That is why my family and I would like to join this program. I believe it will be an excellent opportunity for me to study and develop myself. Moreover, I will have the chance to meet new friends from all over the world and learn about diverse cultures. These are some things about me and my family. Thank you again for reading my letter. I truly appreciate it. I wish you all the best. Sincerely, Phat
