Dear Host Family,
Thank you for allowing me to live with you during my exchange year.
I'm from the Netherlands and I'm really looking forward to coming to America. I'm super curious about American culture. My goal is to see as much of the world as possible and learn a lot from it. For example, I want to improve my English language in America. This is an adventure that I am embarking on alone, so my independence will also improve. How other people often describe me is: sweet, funny and caring. I care very much about other people and help where I can. I really enjoy doing something together, sush as chatting or playing a game.
I also really enjoy doing things with my friends. I like to go shopping with them, eat something or play games. We can talk for hours about anything and everything. I also like to excercise, this can be in the gym, running/walking with my dog or playing field hockey.
As I mentioned before, I would like to go to America to learn the English language better and become more independent, but I think it would be a really fun experience to experience. I am really counting down the days. I think that by coming to live with an American Family I will get the best insight into American culture, and this is something I would really like to experience.
At home I live with my father, mother, brother, sister and my younger brother. My relationship with my family is very good and I like to do fun things with them. I hope I can form a good bond with you too! I also have a dog. A few years ago I was still very afraid of dogs, but since we got a dog ourselves, this had completely gone. I am very happy with this and I now have a great bond with my dog.
I am still looking for my future education. Together with my father I have already attended many open days and information sessions and I hope to find my dream course soon.
I am excited to become a part of your family and I'm really looking forward to the whole adventure!
Kind regards,
Mila
