Dear future host family, my name is Michel and I’m really thankful to have the opportunity of spending a whole school year with you this summer/fall. My hobbies include playing soccer and going to the gym. I am an outgoing, creative, kind, sporty and fun-loving person who enjoys playing soccer and doing other team sports, or fitness. In the winter and spring holidays I also often go on skiing trips in the Alps with my family. In the summer holidays I went to Spain with my friends on a youth trip last year or I did city sight seeing tours with my parents. In 2018 we went to St Petersburg and last year we visited London. We also went to some of the bigger German cities like Berlin, Hamburg, or Munich. My other interests are watching good movies, listening to hiphop and sometimes playing video games on my PlayStation. I also really enjoy going outside with friends, for example to swim in the bathing lake nearby, to have a nice BBQ with them or go to the cinema. I really want to become fluent in English and experience school life in the USA because the school system is so different from the German system where we start school early and come home quite early as well. After my year abroad I want to continue school in Germany to gain my 'general qualification for university entrance'. After that I might study or do a traineeship - that I don't exactly know. I hope this year will give me the opportunity to experience the American culture, develop my English skills and get to know that wonderful country with some of its sights and special places. I hope that I will have unforgettable memories with you and my new friends in America. I am very excited to become a part of your family and get to know you.
