Dear future host family, I’m Lucia from Germany and I want to do an exchange year in the US. Of course I want to improve my English, meet new people and a new culture. I’m very excited to live in a completely different country and family and experience a different school system. I’m very grateful that I have this opportunity, but first, you have to get to know me. I would describe myself as an empathetic person, who enjoys being around people, likes listening to people and learn new things. At the beginning I am not the loudest person, but when I feel comfortable, I really like talking with people and open up. My hobbies are playing field hockey and piano. I really like sports. My whole life I was really athletic and in sports clubs. I would also like to try out new sports. My favourite subject in school is also P.E. My favourite freetime activity is hanging out with my friends. We go to the city, to events, to other cities with the train, in the nature or just stay home and watch a movie. I also have three brothers. One older and two younger brothers. That’s why I am good with children, used to share things and patient. I always play with them and take care of them.
