Dear Host Family, Thank you so much for being willing to participate in the exchange program. I appreciate your decision to accepting me to live with you for six months. I’m so happy that I may now be part of your family, so thank you for that. I can tell you it will be the right choice to choose me. Why? I am telling you in the course of the letter. I am a German boy and I live in a village near a big city. I speak English almost fluently. My family consists of my parents and my two little sisters. I am a positive and optimistic person and try to make the best in difficult situations. I can take care of myself and can make decisions on my own when it matters most. For example you send me through the world anywhere, so I can travel without getting lost. I won't get homesick, so you'll have no problem with me with that. Since I was 5 years old I play soccer in a club and for almost 5 years in a club based on performance. When I am not going to have a game on the weekend or training in the week I am watching some TV, meet with my friends or do some homework I have to do. I am helping my family with the laundry and in the kitchen. Also I keep my room clean. I mow our lawn every week in the garden. I especially like to visit my soccer club in the stadium to support them because I am a big fan of the club. Also I am going to the fitness studio a few times in a week or do some other sports like jogging. Sometimes I meet my friends on the weekend to do something. In summer we are always going to the lake in our town and enjoy the day there. Sometimes in winter I went skiing with my family which is very fun. In summer we're going every year to Croatia on the beach for vacation our visit some other countrys. Overall I am a very sportive person and I would be happy to play soccer in the USA too. I speak German as my native language, good English and a little bit fFench. In Germany I visit a half day school. As I would like to speak English even more fluently I chose the USA as my exchange destination. But that is not the only point why I chose the USA. I find the life and culture of the USA interesting and would love to experience the everyday life there, especially on a high school. I'm looking forward to seeing you and of course getting to know your culture and the American life. I am open to everything and love to try new things like the year abroad. I would like to do things with you, to get you know more. I would be glad, if you show me your hometown or the next biggest city and above all your favorite places in your area. Of course I’m exited to spending time with your children or maybe your animals (if you have some). My father is working almost everyday and he loves to play table tennis. My mother works a few times a week and goes to the gym whenever she can. My sister loves to meet her friends and one of my sister is playing soccer too. My plans for the future are first to do the exchange in the USA, where I am looking forward to and will be an important point of my life. After that I have two years left at school and I want to make my high school diplom in that time. Maybe I will travel after the school for more experiences. In any case I will go studying at an University to get a very good job. Of course I want to found my own family. I am so excited to live in the USA and become a part of your family for six months.
