Dear Family, I’m E. a 16 year old Italian girl. I live in a small city in the north of Italy. I think I’m an extrovert girl. I speak a lot and I always try to meet new people. I’m kind, friendly, calm, determined and cheerful. I love learning new things and traveling. One of my biggest dream is to visit all of the capital cities of Europe. Since I was a child I have been doing rhythmic gymnastics. This sport is like my “comfort zone” . When I’m angry or sad doing this sport makes me feel better. My favorite equipments are ribbon and ball. I think I’m quite good at this sport. Last year I went to the national competition and I came fourth in ball and fifth in clubs. I also love listening to music. My favorite singers are Harry Styles, One Direction, Olivia Rodrigo and Billie Eilish. I love going to live concerts but my mom doesn’t allow me much because she doesn’t want to spend too much. Last year I went to Louis Tomlinson’s concert and I really enjoyed it. When I was younger I played the piano, but I stopped because I didn't have much time. I hope I’ll be able to start playing it again in the future. I love reading. My favorite books are “Game of Gods” and the Percy Jackson saga. When I read a book I like to listen to music. Then, when I finish it I always want to see the film or the TV series based on that. My favorite film is “The notebook” but I also love “Five Feet Apart”. My favorite TV series are "Gossip Girl", "Stranger Things" and "The summer I turned pretty". My favorite season is summer and my favorite place is the seaside. Another thing that I’m interested in is astrology. I always like to know my friend's zodiac sign and try to understand their personality by that. I’m a virgo and I think most of the characteristics of this sign suit me. I’m scared of cats and of bees. When I was a child I had a terrifying experience with a cat and from then I’m frightened when I see one. When I’m with my friends I can be the life of the party but I can also be the quiet one. One thing that I love doing with my friends is taking photos of everything: if someone does something funny I have to record that, if I see things beautiful or aesthetic (like sunset, food, animals, etc.) I take photos as a keepsake. I think I have a lot of good friends. I have two principal groups of friends: one with some of my classmates and one with my parish friends. I always try to hangout with both groups because I love them both very much. I also have two best friends: F. and S. I have known F. since kindergarten but we started to hang out three years ago. He is always there for me: every time I need advice I can call him and he would help me. S. is three years older than me. We started to bond this summer during the summer camp because we both were entertainers. He sometimes helps me with my math homework and, although he will never admit it, he likes helping me. In my group of friends there’s also my brother. He is one year older than me. Sometimes we fight but we know we love each other. Beyond me and my brother, my family is composed also of my mum, my dad and our goldfish. I think I can say my parents can be proud of me. I help them if they need it and we have a great relationship. Sometimes we fight but we always try to sort it out as soon as possible. I know I can tell my parents everything and I’m very grateful to them for that. I go to a scientific high school, but my favorite subjects are English and Philosophy. I also like Physics and Latin but I’m not very good. I’m not a nerd but I’m doing well. A typical morning in my life is: wake up, have breakfast, get ready and go to school. In the afternoon I always study and, three days per week, I have my training. I always wanted to do an exchange year and finally I can have the opportunity to do that. I’m very grateful to my parents for letting me have this experience.
