Dear host family, First of all I'm Léane, 16 years old now, and maybe the future student you will welcome. I have a big brother, Romain so I am the youngest and I have my parents who are married for 21 years, Carine and Johan. We get along well and have a good relationship of trust and we support each other. With the rest of the family we have good relations. Family is important at home so we like to get together with family meals for example. As for school I study economics and languages as optional courses. My life at school is good, I have my friends and I have good grades. As I said I have good grades and I work for it, I am quite studious. I always return my work on time an don't have too much difficulty understanding the subject. I like to learn the different subjects and I am motivated by the different projects proposed by the school. Regarding what interests me and my personality well I am interested in art, I really like to visit art galleries even if I don't do art on my own. I read a lot, watch series and movies, listen to music. I am also interested in new cultures, I like to discover new things that's why I would like to travel around the world. I have a particular interest in psychology since I want to study psychology more specifically in psychopathology. I'm climbing too once a week, so I guess it's part of my interests. As for my personality I would say that I am a fairly open-minded person. I am calm but honest. I am curious I like to discover and learn new things. I adapt quite easily according to the situation. I am helpful. I want to do this exchange program for several reasons. You should know that I've wanted to do it for quite a long time. My first reason is English I want to improve in this language and I think that total immersion is the best option. Then I want to discover a new culture, lifestyle, customs, people, a school system different from mine. I also want to learn more about myself by living this experience. Of course I also think this experience can bring me a lot of experience and will be useful in my future personal and professional life. I chose the USA because I don't know the USA at all. On the other hand, I would like to get a personal idea of it apart from that perceived by social networks and cinema and prejudices. In addition, it is my first choice since I want to do this exchange program indeed the USA has always attracted me since I was little, I wanted to go there at least once and the fact that people I know told me about their year or their trip to the USA made want to go even more. The fact that we speak English there was one more reason. To finish what I think I will bring to my host family, my school, my host community may be a different look at certain things, to discover another culture.
