's Letter

Dear Host family, First off, thank you so much for taking the time to read through this letter and potentially host me in the US. I am very excited to find an adventurous family who is open to showing me their way of life and having really awesome memories together. Some things about me, I have 2 siblings, one is in her second year of college and the other one is in 11th grade. Im the youngest and am currenly in the 9th grade. Im a very competitive girl who swims and plays volleyball, loves to play board games and go on rollercoasters. My favorite school subjects are English and Sport and my favorite foods are soft shell tacos and any sushi with salmon on it. Ive had 2 Jobs in my life, the first was coaching little kids in swimming and the 2nd was babysitting. After i got my First Aid certificate and my lifeguarding license, I decided it would be a good idea for me to put those to use, so I did! I have done my first communion and am currently in the final stage of getting confirmed. My grandparents are extremely religious but my parents not so much. My family loves traveling so we've gone to some crazy beautiful places. My favorites are Japan, a safari in Tanzania and Spain. We use vacation as bonding time because when we're home, evryone has such a crazy schedule so not everyone is always home for dinner, not to mention , my oldest sister is never home, because she is studying in the Netherlands. When im bored and have literally nothing tio do, i put in my headphones and do random tasks, all the way from cleaning my room to reorganizing the fridge. After all of that, I like to take a nice long nap. Anyways, this should ive you a pretty good idea about me, so heres a tiny bit about my parents: My dad is 52 and grew up in berlin, germany. My mom is 49 and grew up in new jersey. My mom always told me about some of her really cool stories growing up, which is one of the very first things that sparked my interest in doing an exchange year in the US. I hope this gave you a good perspective on my family and I'm looking foward to hearing back from you, thank you so much, sincerely, josie
