Dear Host Family
Thank you so much for being willing to participate in the exchange program and considering me to live with your family.
I am an 11th grade Thai student. I live with my parents. We have a dog. I love her and feed her after school every day.
I am a creative and fun person to hang out with, and my close friends love to talk with me because they said I am someone that they are comfortable talking with. Sometimes I like to listen to people sharing about their experiences, and if they feel sad, I will try my best to calm them down because I want people to be happy and proud of themselves.
I like playing musical instruments. I played melodian when I was 4 years old. Now I enjoy playing keyboards and I also love to learn how to play piano. I hope that I can join a music club at school and I will find other interesting things to do at school during the exchange program.
I chose to participate in the exchange program in the United States because my father gave me inspiration. When I was young, he often told me about his experience studying in the United States. This made me eager to learn more about American culture, lifestyle and perspective of people.
I am interested in foreign languages. For me, English is a global language and it is very necessary. Since childhood I have learned English at school, and now I also learn from YouTube videos and movies. I therefore think that it is a good opportunity to improve my English communication skills abroad, including developing confidence as a path to my future goals.
Lastly, thank you for reading my letter. I still have many things to improve, but I am sure that the exchange year will be an unforgettable memory of my student life. I can’t wait to find new friends in the United States and I am excited to become a part of your family.
Warm Regards
Atabi
