Dear host family, Hi! My name is Miguel, and I was born, and live in Brazil and I really like living here. I live close to my school, and every week, I go to my friend's house for the afternoon, or to the beach just to sit there, and talk to my friends. I live with my mom and dad, my mom is 42 years old, and my father 48, and I have a little sister, her name is Melissa, and she's turning 3 this month (July), and I have another brother, which is the middle brother of the family, he's name is Vinicius ( but I like to call him "Biçudinho" a nickname), he is 12 years old. We all go to the same school, everyday. I wake up at 6:30AM, get dressed 5 minutes after getting up. Then, I brush my teeth, and wait for my neighboors ride to the school. I study at a Private school. My favorite subject is Geography, unfortunately, I only have Geography classes twice a week. I get home by 1:20PM, eat lunch and rest and in the afternoons I study when I have tests and do extra curricular activities. I love aviation, so one of my favourite hobbies is flight simulation. I can't explain it, but I just love flight simulation, I make it as realistic as I can. I always start up the aircraft manually, the FMC ( FMC is where you plan your route, take off settings, landing settings, the weight of the aircraft, etc), I always start up the engines manually, everything, I just love it. And then, I head to Taekwon-do on mondays and thurdays, or, to the gym, tuesdays and fridays. I like Taekwon-do, sometimes when my mom is taking me to Taekwon-do I want to go back home because I'm too tired, or just not in the mood. But everytime I'm there, when the class is finishing, and I knew all that I learned, I would've regret it not coming. Wednesday is my day off, so I get a haircut, sometimes go to my friend's house, spend the afternoon there, sit at the beach for hours, just talking. I'm not really a big fan of swimming at the beach, I prefer to just sit at the sand, and talk for hours with my friends. My favourite food is Sushi, I really like sushi. When I was at the US, my family and I went to a sushi reastaurant, and the sushi is very different. Here we put creamcheese on all sushi's, and you guys don't. I also like my grandma's libanese sfiha, it's incredible, sometimes it's even better than sushi, it depends on my mood at the time. I would love to have siblings in my American family, either teenagers on my age as kids, I would like it actually as I have my little sister Melissa, she is 2 years old, and I'm always taking care of her. I make her milk, put her to sleep, go the park with her sometimes, I like spending time with her (when she is in a good mood). I also have 2 dog's, Manchinha and Lola. I really want a cat, everytime I'm at my friend's house, a cat come to me, I think they like me, and I like them. I'm very jealous of my friends with cats, they are calm, well, maybe not of them, but there are no creatures on this planet that match manchinha's energy. She bark's all day, she eat EVERYTHING but food, and I mean it, even wood. She ate my sofa, my sofa's pillows, my gaming mouse once, t-shirts, hoodies, even my brothers Taekwon-do's suit. She just need's attention, when Melissa was born, we stopped giving attention to my pets. We still do, every now and there, but not as many times as we did before Melissa. Other hobbies that I like very much to do with my family or friends are: make barbecue, go to the movies, watching car racing, go to shopping mall, eat out, travel on school vacation. We have been to US, Dubai, Catar, Argentina, Bahamas and Uruguai and it is so nice to meet new places and cultures, I love traveling. I decided to go to the exchange in US because I have travelled to US with my family for vacation a couple of times and I love the US and its culture and I think living with an american family and studying in a High School will be a a great life and cultural experience and I am very excited to arrive in US on 2024 fall. I want to enjoy the American ways of life while in America, I wan't to enjoy this once in a lifetime experience my family is providing me, I wan't to have a great relationship with my American family and make many new friends in school.
