Dear Host Family, My name is Jan Bennet, but I prefer being called Bennet. I am a German boy and I am currently in a German High school. I would like to try new things and learn more about the USA. Also I want to learn more about the culture in America. I love listening to music. Mostly I listen to rap music. I am a very sporty, outgoing and creative person. I enjoy playing sports such as basketball and soccer. I speak German But also some Spanish and English. But I am looking forward to becoming more fluent in both languages. Right now I don't have plans for the future. But I am sure that the time in the USA helps me to know what I want. I have played soccer since I was four. It helps me stay fit. I like doing team sports and I hope to join a Soccer team while I am in America. I understand that I may not be able to join a Soccer team so I am interested in trying some other things and joining other clubs. My dad works at the local news channel and is interested in motorcycling. My mom was working as a travel agent. After working as a travel agent for the past 25 years she decided to change jobs. Actually she is looking for new perspectives. Right now I don't have any siblings but I hope to become part of your family. A year ago I went to a fair about exchange years. There I met a former exchange student who was in the USA. He told me about his time in America. Since then I wanted to go to a high school and live in the U.S. with an American family for a year.
