Dear host family, Thank you very much for participating in this program and being willing to accept me to live with you if you consider it so. My name is Aitana and I live in Spain. I'm at a stage of my life where I really want to explore new experiences and meet new people, so going to the United States as an exchange student is something I really want to do. I consider myself an independent, very curious, quite creative and confident person. I love learning new things, especially science things. That inexplicable love that I feel for acquiring new knowledge and my great curiosity have led me to become a very big fan of physics and philosophy. I really like playing sports, and although I go to the gym, I prefer to do sports that are more focused on the final goal of beating the opponent, like paddle tennis, and not lose weight or overcome a resistance. I want to participate in activities in the United States, I would like to play tennis but I know that there it's not a sport as well known as in Spain so I could adapt to other sports if it was necessary, but the main thing I want to do the most is joining a school club. I love debating so much because I love confronting my arguments with someone else's and exploring new points of view of an idea, so if I had the opportunity, I would really like to join my high school's debate club, but if it’s not possible I'm open to new experiences. I know how to speak Spanish, English, and not very fluently but I know some things in French (because I have French class at my school). In my family we're 4 members: my father, Vicente, who is an engineer, my mother, Maria Teresa, who is an optician, and my little brother Pablo, who is 2 years younger than me and loves basketball.
