Dear American family Belated Merry Christmas! How did your Christmas go? I believe Christmas went amazing. I myself never experienced an actual Christmas before. People are mostly Muslims in my country. Right now, it's winter going on here. Recently, I saw some teenagers on TV playing with the snow. It seemed really fun! We never had a snowfall. Things like celebrating an actual Christmas, visiting a church, singing a choir, and playing with the snow are on my bucket list. Oh, I forgot to introduce myself. I am Mehedi, a teenager from Bangladesh who aims to touch the clouds in the sky. Maybe, I am almost there. I belong to a family consisting of 4 lovely members. I have my mom, dad and an elder brother. Whenever we get free, we always try to immerse ourselves in fun activities like watching a TV show altogether or playing some cool indoor/ outdoor games. Thanks to the weekends! On the weekdays, we happen to remain busy with daily life duties. My mom, as a homemaker, does household chores all day long. My father gets busy with his business, and my brother with his flights as a pilot. I try to help my hard working mom in cleaning the dishes after coming home from school. During my stay in school, I have lots of fun and love playing basketball with my friends. Sometimes, a little bit of table-tennis as well. I wish our school had a baseball ground. I live in a beautiful city. It is known as the gateway to North Bengal and is one of the oldest historical cities in Bangladesh. If I get to meet you, I will check the luggage twice after packing so that I don't forget the delicious can of yoghurt. You just cannot miss it, I promise! The city is famous for its sweet yoghurt. One of my goals is building free and impactful softwares for the world. That's how I want to contribute to the community. I am a simple and optimistic guy who loves to code and interact with various types of people. The YES Program will give me the spirit and courage to go beyond my comfort zone and limitations. In the game of working for the betterment of the humanity, I want to be an unstoppable and kind knight.
