My name is Roberta, and I am a Brazilian girl excited at the prospect of potentially becoming a part of your family through the hosting program. I believe that this experience will not only benefit me in terms of learning about different cultures but also allow me to share my own unique life experiences with your family. I am a regular attendee at a Baptist church, which holds a special place in my heart. Every Sunday, I attend church and enjoy spending time with the Christian community. This time allows me to connect with my faith and contribute to my community through service. At home, I live with my father who works in Investment Management, my mother who is a full-time housewife that loves to travel, my sister who is one year and a half older than me, my widowed grandfather, and two dogs. We share a close bond, and I cherish the time spent with my family members. Reading books, serving at church, going to the gym, watching movies, and spending time with my friends are some of my favorite pastimes. I believe that these experiences have shaped me into a caring and honest individual who values the importance of family and community. I believe that the diverse and colorful culture of Brazil is a vital part of our identity as a nation. I am eager to introduce the richness of Brazilian culture during my stay. From the vibrant samba music to the delicious "feijoada" and "brigadeiro", I am excited to share these aspects of my culture with your family. Additionally, I look forward to introducing some worship songs and Brazil's countryside tunes while exchanging stories about our different cultural backgrounds.
