Dear host family,
Thank you very much for being willing to participate in the exchange and accepting me to live with your family.
I'm a Brazilian boy and I just started high school. I like trying new things and I want to explore the world, including America. I want to learn about American culture and share its life.
I like to play video games. I am a very extroverted, direct, creative, funny, academic and fun boy. I like to play sports, such as handball, soccer, swimming, go-karting. I speak two different languages, Portuguese and Spanish, and I am looking forward to becoming fluent in English. Although I don't have the opportunity to volunteer in Portuguese, I want to participate in these activities in America. I'm happy to help other people, especially older people and younger children.
I've been playing the piano for 7 years and I always brighten my days when I play.
My father is responsible for a company that sells furniture and my mother is a full-time mother and loves to travel. My younger brother is three years younger than me and is in the 5th grade. We are a united family and I hope to be part of your family too.
I am happy to share the beauty of Brazilian culture with my host family. I would also like to show my host family how we celebrate different Brazilian festivals. For example, carnival, New Year, Easter, etc. Additionally, I can share knowledge about traditional toys and Brazilian snacks, especially pao de cheese and cafe con leche.
When I saw the wonderful photos of people who did the program with Ayusa, I became more determined to go to America and learn about their culture. I believe that I can also take amazing photos and make unforgettable memories with you and my new friends in America. I'm excited to become part of your family!
