's Letter

Dear Host Family, Thank you for taking the time to read my letter. My name is Dung. Currently, I am living in Vietnam with my mother, elder sister, and younger sister. My mother is a businesswoman. After my dad passed away, she became a father, a mother, and a best friend to me. She takes care of me, helps me overcome difficult moments, brings me back to school, and teaches me how to be the man of our family. My father used to be my idol, and even now he still is. That is why when he passed away, I was initially sad, but then I felt lost. I can't quite describe it, but it is a painful anguish within my heart. As time passes, I am learning how to be a man in my family. The first lesson is about strength. My mother said that it's difficult to have someone accompany you throughout your entire lifelong journey. In each stage of life, you will have different companions. Therefore, the most important thing is to walk on my own two feet and be grateful for those who have accompanied and supported me along the way. Thank you, Dad, so much for being by my side in the early steps of my life, teaching me many things, and accompanying me. During the last Tet Holiday, my family and I went to the Church and were assigned to visit and help poor people around the Church. I was responsible for distributing food and it was such a pleasure to see the happiness on the faces of those we helped. Going to Church and helping others has brought great healing to my soul. After experiencing a family crisis, I have returned to school. After a few months of study, I want to study abroad to learn and improve myself further to have the opportunity to fulfill my dreams. I have a great passion for operating aircraft. The thrill of being in control of a flying machine and the sense of freedom it brings are truly exhilarating. I am deeply fascinated by the intricacies of aviation and the skills required to navigate the skies. In the past, my Dad supported my dream a lot and wanted to send me to study abroad. I think now is a suitable time. In my daily life, I love reading books. I enjoy watching and reading books related to aircraft, even if I don't understand everything, but I love to watch and learn about it. Additionally, I like Japanese novels. I usually read them when I have free time, and one of my favorite authors is Shiraishi Jogi. I often go to the library on weekends to borrow new books. I don't play sports a lot, but I do participate in physical education classes in school. However, it is not a daily activity for me. Like every other child, I also enjoy eating fried chicken and pizza. I am not picky when it comes to food. Occasionally, I enjoy the combination of eating and reading books, even though my mother doesn't encourage me to do both at the same time. That is all about my family and me. I hope we will have many things in common. Thank you for reading my letter again. I wish you the best. Sincerely, DUNG
