's Letter
Dear Host Family,
First of all, I want to thank you so much for accepting my journey in the exchange program by living with your family.
I am a Brazilian girl and I'm currently in the 11th grade. I really like exploring other countries, and now it's time to explore the United States. I want to learn and understand more about the American culture and habits, and share about my culture with your family too.
I love exploring different musical genres, such as dances and movies types, I am a very artistic, academic and funny person. I enjoy going to the gym and playing volleyball. I speak two languages, Portuguese and English. I learned English at a young age, taking private lessons and nowadays the language is automatic in my vocabulary, but using English in my everyday life will help me a lot to improve even more.
I am interested in trying different things and I want to join school clubs, mainly arts and sports, which will help me a lot to fit in and make friends with whom I can trust and live good memories.
My mother and father are Veterinarians, both love traveling and working out. My younger brother is three years younger than me and he is in middle school, even though our parents are divorced, we don't have any problems.
Brazil has a very large and diverse cultural variety, and many natural beauties. Portuguese itself is not a difficult language and I hope to be able to share the language and culture with my host family, show the musical variety as well as the cuisine.
With this new opportunity I hope to be able to create many good memories with my new family and friends, as well as learn new things with you and share my experience with everyone. I'm so excited to be part of your family!
Warm regards,
Maria Regina
