Miharu
's Letter
Dear Host Family,
Hello, I'm Miharu.
Thank you for reading this letter. I'll start introducing myself now.
I love going out, so I would like to go to various places with my host family and I would like to share that experience with you. I think there are a lot of places in America that don't exist in Japan, so I'm looking forward to going there. Also, I love listening to music. I used to listen to a lot of Japanese songs, but recently I've been listening to a lot of songs by singers like Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande. I think there are still a lot of singers and songs that I don't know about, so I'd like them to introduce me to a lot of them.
I love to eat, so I can make Japanese dishes such as okonomiyaki and oyakodon. There are many tourist spots near my house, so I would like to introduce them to you with photos.
I love talking to people, so I'd like you to ask me a lot about me, my friends, and what's going on in Japan.
On weekdays, I go to school and after school, I go out with friends and participate in club activities. In class, I often actively do pair work and make presentations on my own. I often go out to eat sweets and go to karaoke with my friends. I also belong to the table tennis club and participate in club activities five times a week. In America, I am planning to try many other sports such as not only table tennis but also badminton and tennis.
On Saturdays and Sundays, I work on school assignments and go out with my family.I often go to nearby prefectures and have dinner with my family.
I also often go to the amusement park with my friends and family during long holidays. I love it because there are so many attractions there and I never get tired of it no matter how many times I go there.
I am good at English and I am good at talking to people, so I thought that studying abroad would be a good way to put those skills to use, so I participated in this study abroad program. I also think that there are still some areas where I am not able to be independent, so I felt that this would be the best way to improve that.
I will talk about what I would like to learn in the future. I'm interested in what is happening in the world. That's why I would like to learn more about what are the problems in America that are different from Japan.
I am an only child and my family of 3. My father's hobby is riding a bicycle, and he often rides it on weekends. I respect the point that he follows through on whatever he decides to do. My father took me to many places since I was little. My mother has very good communication skills and has many friends. I also respect her because she can do what needs to be done quickly and efficiently.
Thank you for accepting me. I will do my best to be a positive influence on your family.
Sincerely,
Miharu
