Dear Host family, I'm Leni and I live in a house near a large city in Northern Germany. I live with my parents, my two sisters and our cat. I'm currently in the 10th grade of a high school. In my free time I go to the gym or meet up with my friends. I also love cooking. My father taught me this from an early age. I often go to Hamburg City and eat something, go shopping or go to the cinema with my friends. On the weekends I usually go out with my friends. We go to each others houses, meet at the lake and have a barbecue there or just ride our bikes around the area. During the week I'm really only busy with school and therefore hardly have time for other things. I go to yoga with my mother once a week and if it fits into my schedule and can be arranged then I also go to the gym. I often do this with my friends because it´s more fun that way. The reason I want to come to the US is because I want to live the typical life of an American teenager. I want to go to football matches with my friends, bake and eat buttercream cakes, ride yellow school buses and, above all, learn about American traditions. Another reason is that I would like to use and improve my existing English skills. It is very important to have a good command of the world language. I also want to make new friends.
