's Letter
Dear Host Family,
My name is Sebastián, and I am a Chilean teenager with a profound interest in sports, particularly basketball and physical conditioning, although I am open to various sports. Beyond athletics, I am committed to my studies, with mathematics and English ranking among my favorite subjects. I embody a cheerful, amiable disposition, relishing moments spent with family, forging new friendships, and embracing novel experiences.
I aspire to attend high school in the U.S. and acquaint myself with an American family, driven by a fervent desire to comprehend social dynamics, pedagogical methodologies, and delve deeper into the nation's rich history and culture.
In Chile, my native land, an array of traditions permeate from north to south, yet one unifying celebration is the national or independence holidays, which I yearn to share with my prospective host family. Throughout these festivities, customary delicacies like "Empanadas," succulent grilled meats, and the revered dessert "Mote Con Huesillo" grace our tables. Furthermore, partaking in our national dance, the "Cueca," is an enduring tradition. My familial unit comprises four members: my father, mother, and younger sister, with whom I cherish spending quality time. Among my diverse interests, I delight in crafting cookies and desserts for all to enjoy.
My future aspirations encompass honing my English proficiency and preparing for the university entrance exam in my homeland, with aspirations to pursue a degree in commercial engineering.
In conclusion, I bid you a fond farewell,
Sebastián
