Clémence
's Letter
Dear host family,
My name is Clémence and I'm from France. I'm curious and studious. I'm interested in everything. I like humor and laughter. I'm attentive to the people I love. I have other qualities such as patience and creativity. I'm autonomous and like to be given responsibility.
I'm really looking forward to this experience in the USA, which will enable me to improve my English but above all to share the daily life of an American family, to discover new people, a new country, other ways of life, but also to discover high school in a different way than through the American TV series and the books I've read. This will be a life experience that I hope will give me an open-mindedness and adaptability that will serve me well for the rest of my life.
In France, I live in a very caring but above all close-knit family. I have a little brother who's very lively and funny, but I'm still the funniest one in the family.
Everything's going well at school. I have a great group of friends in which I have five real friends whom I've known for 3 years. We've always been in the same class since we met.
When I grow up, I'd really like to do something related to international law or journalism. It's also why I wanted to spend a year with a family in the USA. I want to be fluent in English, so that it can help me get into top schools.
I like to do lots of things, but especially sports, because it allows me to unwind, relax and think about things other than school. This physical activity helps me to feel good every day. I also love reading and informing myself on different subjects that interest or concern me. I think it's important to keep up to date with what's going on in the world or even in our own country.
I hope this letter has helped you get to know me better. Thank you so much for giving me the chance to experience this with you. I look forward to meeting you.
Best wishes,
Clémence.
