Hello, how are you guys? I want to start this letter by thanking you for welcoming me as part of your family. I'm a 17 year old boy from Brazil. In this program that I'm about to do, I'm going to enjoy getting to know other cultures, especially the American one. I like watching superhero movies. I'm that type of person who has many goals in life and I'm focused on all of them. To describe a little about my personality, I consider myself a creative and kind person, I like to make many friends with my charisma. My favorite sport is football, which I'm very good at. Around here, I play a lot of tournaments, including a professional one. As part of my practice, I go to the gym every day. My native language is Portuguese, but I also want to speak English fluently with this program, it is important to speak this language because it is the global language I read and watched a lot about American education, in high school and college. I like the idea of ​​Sports and Education being together, it makes students work hard in their studies and sports. For me, I see a great opportunity to grow in both areas, sports and academics, and one of my goals is to go to college. In your family, I would like to know your daily life and adapt to your costumes. I can adapt to different cultures and environments. My life here is very simple, I have a good relationship with my parents. My father works in a bank and lives away from home during the week, and comes home on the weekends, he also loves football, he used to play it but now he only watches it with me, it's a very good father-son moment for us. My mother works as a secretary at a high school, we have 5 different high schools here. She spends practically all her time with me, my father and my brothers. I'm the youngest brother of three, my older brother plays tennis and also works in a bank. He already has a 5 month old son, my nephew, and I love him very much, my middle brother likes to play on the computer. After high school, my main goal is to get a scholarship, because I know how important education is and how far it can take me. To obtain this scholarship, I intend to play Football as a Student-Athlete and, beyond College, become a Professional Football Player. I hope we can meet very soon, as I am very excited and grateful for my family here, who is giving me this opportunity, but also for you who are opening your doors to me.
