Dear future host family, First of all, I want to thank you for taking the time to read my letter, and giving me the chance to do this. My name is Tülin and I would say that I’m a friendly, funny, honest and creative person. I always try to see the best in everything and everyone, give my honest opinion on things and make people laugh. I’m currently living with my mother, my four siblings, containing my older sister, my 3 younger siblings and my stepfather. I often watch my two youngest siblings, which I really love, and I also love to play with them, watch movies together, make something to eat together, and just overall spend time with them. My mother and stepfather are sometimes pretty busy and I like to help them as much as I can, in helping them doing the dishes, the laundry, and as I said, babysitting my siblings. My older sister and my other younger sister and I like to hangout and have our movie nights, play games, or just sit together and talk about everything. My family and I also go on vacation every year and visit our family in turkey. I really love traveling, but haven’t done much traveling alone yet. I do spend a lot of time with my best friend, and sometimes visit other places and cities, but real traveling is something that I haven’t done completely alone before, but would love to. Besides from spending time with my family, I like to hang out with my friends and just talk about our lives, get something to eat, or just do anything fun. I also really like to dance, which is why I go to dance classes every Wednesday, or to try and cook or bake different things, which I’m not that good at yet, but I’m trying to get better. As I already mentioned, I like to travel and discover new places and meet new people and befriend them. But sometimes I also enjoy to be alone and listen to my favorite songs and artists, read something, or watch my favorite movies and tv shows. I am also a fan of collecting things like fan items, squishmallows, my siblings drawings and I also love to keep birthday cards that people gift me. I’m not really sure what career path I want to pursue, but as of right now, I’m thinking of something that has to do with psychology because I’m really drawn to that subject and it’s very interesting to me. But other than that, I’m also dreaming of moving to the United States one day, which is one reason that I want to do an exchange year. I want to see for myself if the American lifestyle is something that I personally can live with, and is something that I want to spend the rest of my life with, which is early to say, but it’s really my biggest dream so I really hope that I will like it. But I also just overall want to get the experience of the teenage lifestyle in America, that you can often see in shows or movies, experience the high school life, and the American school system in general, prom and homecoming and since I really love the language, I would love to improve my English skills. And also just see another place, have new experiences, meet new people and have a look into other cultures, because I’m very open for everything and would love to have you teach me your way of family life, your culture, your lifestyle and so much more. I also know that this is a once in a lifetime experience, and would love to get the opportunity to have it, and spend my time a year abroad to experience many new things.
