's Letter

Dear host family, my name is Fiona. I live with my parents and my little sister in a suburb of a big city. We live there in a house with a small garden. We live there quietly and it is somehow still very rural. However, in about 15 minutes I'm in the city, where life is raging. I would like to do a year abroad in the USA for several reasons. On the one hand, I would of course like to get to know the world-famous American Spirit in schools in the USA. On the other hand, I would like to experience the Americans' attitude to life and openness and of course learn the language properly. I just want to get to know the American culture. Germany also has a lot to offer. Maybe I can cook or bake for you once or twice. Something very typically German, such as: B. potato pancakes or a delicious apple strudel with vanilla ice cream. Otherwise, I am a very open person who likes to try out a lot of things and discover new things. I enjoy going on vacation with my family and discovering the world. Snorkeling or jet skiing with my father, nice walks and shopping afternoons with my mother or simply spending time with my little sister. She is 8 years old and I like taking care of her. We make little videos together, draw or do crafts together. In general, I get along well with children and enjoy looking after them. I did my internship from school in kindergarten and I had a lot of fun with it. I try to go to the gym 1-2 times a week. Otherwise, I like meeting up with friends, watching soccer and cheering on my schoolmates. I like going to the cinema or going out into town with my friends. There is so much to see and experience there. You can also go sightseeing in your own city and always discover new, exciting things. But of course, as is probably the case with almost everyone, normal days are not always so exciting. I get up at 5:30 am. Get ready and then take the bus to school. After school we take the bus home again. Then homework is done and I often help my mother cook, clean up or help my sister with her homework. After that it's my time to chill. I either go out with friends or go to my room with my cell phone ๐Ÿ˜Š. I would be incredibly happy if you would take me in. You show me normal life in the USA and welcome me into your family. I hope we get to know each other soon! Your Fiona
