Dear host family, I am Lina from Germany. I would be happy to get to know the American culture and also the school system. Since my school days, I have been fascinated by the USA and its people. So far I only know the country from movies and media. When I was 3 years old I was in the USA for the first time with my parents, but unfortunately I can hardly remember it. I am a very open person, I like to meet friends and get to know new people. In my free time I like to ride my bike and read books. I also love to dance and would be happy to dance in a cheerleading group if there is an opportunity. I have been studying English at school for 5 years and Latin for 4 years. I am looking forward to improving my English. Since the German school system is very different from the American school system and we don't learn much about American history, I am very happy to be able to attend high school. And to be able to participate in the American culture and school life. I am a family person and live with my parents, my younger sister and my younger brother together with my dog in a house. Family life is important to me and that is why I am happy to become a part of your family. My father is responsible for a small software team and my mother is a social worker and is responsible for young people and seniors in a neighboring community. After graduating from high school I want to study medicine and become a surgeon. This is a very demanding goal, but I am very confident that I can achieve it. Kind regards, Lina
