Hi, I’m Veronica, First of all, I want to thank you for hosting me for ten months. I’m very grateful for doing this amazing experience and for you to make this happen. I want to become an exchange student because I’m interested in learning how to live in a new environment, discover a new culture. I hope to build a strong bond with you. For me it is very important to get along with you and I’d like to learn a lot from you about the American lifestyle and traditions. I would describe me as a kind and loyal person. My friends think that I’m friendly and sociable, my classmates describe me responsible and helpful. In fact I'm a class representative and I like to put myself out there to solve injustices. My family thinks that I’m very athletic and determined to reach my personal goals. One of my passions is cooking with my friends or with family. I would like to experiment new dishes with you and cook with you some Italian food. I also enjoy going out with friends on Saturday evenings, but my favorite part is meeting at some friend’s house, having dinner and getting ready together: that’s even better than hanging out in the city center later. One of my main traits is that I looove sports! Since I was a child I have always been an active person I got the opportunity to practice sports. When I was at elementary school I used to practice two sports: gymnastics and swimming, but when I went to middle school I decided to focus my attention on gymnastics. Unfortunately for a recent ankle pain I have had to stop with gymnastics and I have started swimming again. Of course I’m sad that I can’t practice my favorite sport but swimming is also one of the activities that I like doing the most and I’m excited about diving and spending time in the water. In fact for me the best place to go on holiday is by the sea. I also love visiting new towns with my family. In the last two years, I’ve visited some Italian towns and Paris and I loved it! I’m very happy to discover new cultures and I am so excited to get to know your town. I would love to do some activities together. What are your favorite hobbies? In my family we are five, plus Flo, my German shepherd dog. I’m the middle sister of three sisters: the oldest is Amelia, she’s 18. The youngest one is Margherita, she is two years younger than me. My parents' names are Silvia and Carlo. With them I like to travel, walk in the mountains and hangout. I also have an amazing relationship with my three cousins, the oldest is now an exchange student with AYUSA in Colorado and the middle one will leave Italy in August to go to Wisconsin, also for his exchange program with AYUSA. I’m very family oriented and I would really enjoy the idea of having a big family. On a typical day I wake up and then I have breakfast with my family. I would like to have meals together, I think that is a good way for getting to know each other better, talk more and spend time together. After school, I finish at 1 p.m., I go back home and I usually study or do homework. Later I take the bus to go to the train and in the evening I come back home.
