Dear future host family, I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to introduce myself before we meet each other. My name is Fiona, I am from Germany and I am very excited to have the opportunity to become a part of your family. First and foremost, I want to express my gratitude for welcoming me into your home. I am eager to immerse myself in American culture and create lasting memories with you all. I live with my family in a house with a nice back yard. My family are my parents and my sister, she is one year younger than me. Beside I have two cats, Kally and Lilly. I love to play with them. My family is very important to me. Often I visit my three little cousins and take care of them. In my free time I spend a lot of time with my friends. I have many different friends because I have a lot of hobbies. One of my greatest passions is playing tennis. I play tennis two times a week. At my last competition I got the third place. Maybe I have a chance to play a little tennis during my stay in the US. In summer I love nothing more than to go swimming in the sea or in a lake. I like to eat a lot of ice cream and sunbath. Besides that I´m in a gymnastic group. At the last tournament we won the first place with our performance. In winter my family and I often go skiing. I enjoy the snow very much. Aside from my sporty hobbies, I´m playing the piano since I´m six years old. I love playing rock n roll or classic. I like to make other persons happy so I often bake for other people. For my sister's birthday I made a pretty unicorn cake. I can't wait to share some of my favorite recipes with you! So, why do I want to come to the USA? Well, I believe that living in a different country offers invaluable opportunities for personal growth and cultural exchange. I am eager to learn about American traditions, customs, and way of life. Additionally, I am excited to improve my English skills and broaden my horizons by experiencing new adventures in the USA. Since I love to learn new things about different cultures and countries and also love to travel, I will soon participate in a 3 month exchange program to Spain and will also stay with a hostfamily there. I hope that they will be as lovely as you must be and that this experience will confirm my decision to participate in an exchange to the US. I will definetely have experience in integrating myself and adapting to a new culture. Now I am genuinely looking forward to getting to know your family and creating unforgettable memories together.
