Dear host family,
my name is Annika and I live in Germany. I would be very happy and grateful if you welcomed me as an exchange student in the United States.
I am very interested in sports like cheerleading and dancing and I am open to new things. In my free time, I do dance-cheerleading and dance. I also like to meet friends and spend quality time with them. My family and I often travel together to different countries and enjoy learning about new places where we can learn about other ways of life and experience different cultures.
I have not decided on a career yet, but I am thinking about becoming an actress. However, as this is a profession that can't really be planned, I'm thinking about choosing a second profession that can offer me more security. For example, I could imagine studying architecture and designing real estate.
My friends would describe me as an honest and sincere person who is always open to new things, while my family would describe me as punctual and reliable. Although German is my native language, I have been learning English since I was 6 years old and speak it very well.
In sixth grade we had to choose between French and Latin at school, so I have been learning French for 4 years. That showed me how much fun it is to learn languages, and that's one of the reasons I decided to learn Spanish as well.
When I am fully grown, I want to have a family with children. My grades are good, I have a lot of friends at school and I am looking forward to meeting new people in the United States.
Best regards,
Annika
