Dear Host Family Thank you very much for agreeing to become part of your family, I am very grateful and I am eager for us to meet and begin this adventure. My name is Clara, although everyone calls me Clari or Clarita, I live in Chile, I am the youngest of 3 siblings, with my family we are very close, we love to travel, play board games and have fun, my life is very fun, I love it make plans with my friends and also with my family. I would like to get to know the United States, although I have been there before, there are many places that I have not visited and I can't even imagine how beautiful they are, I love seeing new places, making new experiences, and having new friends, and I think that the exchange is going to be the perfect opportunity. In the exchange I also want to know another culture, new food, new traditions, etc. And obviously I want to improve my English. When I get there I will be in 10th grade, I still don't know what career I want to study, but I know I want to do it, for now I lean more towards the scientific side and I think that when I have to choose a career, I will choose something related to that. One of the things I like the most is playing sports, the ones I like the most are hockey, handball and basketball, I practice them at school and I love playing them and much more if it's with friends. Another sport that I really like is skiing. I have practiced it since I was very little and with my family we go skiing every year. Something that I also enjoy a lot are new adventures, I love visiting places and learning about their history, I also love makeup although I am not very good at it, I like to watch videos and learn different techniques, I also like to cook, especially sweet things, I know that in USA are very good desserts so I want to try them and learn how to cook them. I'm not very good at painting or drawing, but being there I want to do many things that I haven't done and I want to be able to discover new things that there aren't here, like some sports. I am very excited to be able to tell you things about me and my country. I think that when I get there I am going to tell you many things and I am going to learn to cook one of my favorite typical dishes so I can make them for you there.
