Dear host family I’m very happy to start this wonderful experience and I'm very grateful to you for giving me this opportunity and to host me for five months. Thanks to your hospitality, I will open my mind to new cultures, lifestyles, ideas and I want to create great friendships, learn better English and make unforgettable memories . But first of all I want to create a wonderful relationship with you that I hope will last forever, making me useful and showing my culture, my traditions, my goals and my desire to be a part of the family. I think I am a reliable, energetic and empathetic person. My family describe me as a very quiet guy and my friends think that I am friendly, sociable and know that they can always count on my help. I listen to a lot of music in every place when I am alone and I need a little distraction but I have a lot of other hobbies. For example, I play soccer, which is my favorite sport. I have practiced it since I was 5 and it’s a very important part of my life but I also like a lot of other sports and when I will be there I want to try some typical American sports. In the last period I also started to be very interested in F1 and Indycar because I love the world of the race and the engines. An important part of my life are my friends with whom I go out every week and I can enjoy visiting big cities in my region or going to disco or simply turning around my city and taking ice cream, very common things in Italy. Another important part of my life is school. This year takes me a lot of time but I know that it is really important for my future and I want to do my best. I like all the subjects but I love P.E. math and Physics in particular when it comes to topics concerning astronomy. I am also very interested in you, what are your hobbies and passions and how do you spend your free time? Do you like to play or watch some sports in particular? I would like to spend some time with you and learn more about your routine, your customs and try new things that in Italy I didn't know. I could also show you some typical pastimes in Italy or maybe talk better about my life in my country and how we spend, for example, the festivity. My family consists of four people: me, my brother Francesco, my mother Annalisa and my father Andrea. My father works as a designer in a factory and my mother teaches French. My brother is a year younger than me and I spend a lot of time with him. He is a very important person in my life because I can talk with him about everything and we also share a lot of hobbies like soccer. I also have a great relationship with my parents because I know that I can always count on them and because I can confide in them if i have a problem. I like spending time with them watching films or going out for dinner or traveling. I also spend some time with my grandparents, in fact I live near them and I can visit them often. I also go to the stadium with my grandfather, my brother and my father and we also always watch the F1 race at home. In my family there are also two animals: one cat called Apollo and one dog called Lapo. I love them and they make me happier and quieter in their presence. Really I can't wait to arrive in the U.S.A. meet you and become an Exchange student. I feel it will be a beautiful experience and I hope not only to improve my English but also to grow as a person, becoming more autonomous and opening my horizons. I hope to learn how to relate to people of different cultures and to make you happy, making me useful at home and transmitting a bit of my culture to create a bond that will last forever! Thank you!
