Rafaella
's Letter
Dear Host Family:
Hi there, hope you're doing fantastic. Let me introduce myself, I'm Rafaella, I live with my parents in a northern small town in Chile. I love drawings, anime, music and video games. I have many interests an I'd consider my self to be kind, creative, studious, artistic and a good friend. My Dad is a Dentist at the local Public Hospital, and my Mother is a Secretary and a leader of the Roller Skating Club.
The 3 of us love sports and family activities like having our meals together, hiking, beach going, bicycling, table tennis, to name a few. I practise artistic roller skating and have competed many times since I was little. I also play the violin and hold a scholarship at the Regional Youth Orchestra.
If you like, i can share with you all that I know about our country's culture and attractions. I even know a a little about the neighbouring countries I've been to. Also I can teach Spanish ( to the best of my knowledge :D ) or prepare some dish.
Later on, I'm planning to study something technical, like coding, or design; ideally a short career so I start working young. Nevertheless, I haven't decided my career path yet, my mind and eyes are open, and the time to choose will come in due time.
I visited the States last January, and I'm really interested in going back again, to become a high school exchange student, during an academic year. When I was a toddler, my family lived in Australia for 3 years. It was an awesome experience, though I don't recall everything, I have lovely memories about it, and attended to a child care, so the attraction to experience life in an English speaking country is irresistible to me. This is my chance to really make English my second language, to be really competent at it.
I know this will be a challenge, i don't expect it to be easy.
I strongly believe that you wouldn't regret meeting me and helping me through with your kind hospitality, so I can achieve this cherished dream.
Well, receive my best wishes, and many thanks for reading.
Bye! Chao!
